Because of the Depression, George and Alice moved to  Piedmont, OH where his mother owned a boarding house.  George worked for the WPA until he got a job with the sheriff's office as a deputy.  He worked there until sometime in the 1940's when he started working for Hanna Coal Company.  After retiring in 1974, they moved to West Palm Beach, Fl. They came back to Ohio each year to visit their children. George Coulson was born 19 Jan 1908 and died 24 Feb 1984.  He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and Alice was a member of the Eastern Stars.

They moved from Piedmont, OH to Cadiz, OH (birthplace of Clark Gable) in 1940 and Alice worked at the A & P Store there.  About 1955 or 56 they moved to Flushing, OH.  They both loved to  fish and the family still goes to Canada each year to fish.

Alice was a fun-loving person and drove her car up until the time of her death.  She passed away 27 May 1991 in Palm Beach, Florida.  She is buried in Cadiz, Ohio.
